Regarding Homestuck

Good afternoon, folks. It's been a bit of a recurring question and issue for the mod team regarding which Homestuck characters have enough canon information to be considered appable in this game. We did a bit of thinking and discussing, and we're sure this isn't going to be the most well-received outcome, but this is what we feel is fairest for the game at the current time.
Right now, only the following Homestuck characters will be able to be applied for in game:
Because we currently have a Mom and Bro in game, we are going to allow them to stay under their current players; however, if they choose to drop, they will not be allowed to be brought back in.
We understand that this policy may exclude some characters who arguably have enough canon to be apped. However, in the interest of having a single cohesive app policy, these are the characters we will be considering appable at this time. With Homestuck's possible ending this year, this isn't necessarily set in stone; however, this is what we'll be using for now. In the event that more information or canon is released on characters currently not allowed in-game, we may reconsider our stance on their appability. But for right now, and most likely for the next few months given the direction the series is going, the characters listed above are the only ones we will be considering appable at this time.
We're sorry for the trouble, but this is non-negotiable at this time.
ETA: We've noticed some discussion regarding the matter and we'd like to dispel a few rumors. We do have a moderator who is familiar with Homestuck and keeps up with the storyline and characters. A very in-depth discussion led us to decide on a concrete rule that left a more fair situation, even though it also seemed more restricting.
We apologize if anyone feels as though we're trying to ostracize anyone - that is not our intention. We're merely trying to make sure we follow the rules the game has in place, and with a complex series that has so many characters, it's far easier to make one set rule as opposed to trying to take everything case by case.
