The junkdates SPARKLE today~
Hey Routians! We've got a few awesome things for you this update!
First off, the moment you've all been waiting for... our new moderators! Drumroll please...

mangosherbet] has been with us for just about a year now, and she's been nothing but a dear. She lives as a nameless warrior monk in the Land of the Rising Sun. In between a hectic schedule of meditating beneath waterfalls and breaking boulders with her toenail clippings, she teaches middle school English. Also, she's got good jokes and eats poffins with maple syrup for breakfast.
Her current characters are Squall "Leon" Leonheart/usedroar (from Kingdom Hearts II), Watanuki Kimihiro/holdsleftovers (from xxxHolic), and Nero guitarnero (from Devil May Cry).
Raile [literatehyaena] is a certified PokéManiac. He takes his Growlithe out for daily walks and is chiller than an icee in winter. When he's not studying his pokémon texts, he's training Rattata to be in the top percentage of Rattata. (Yeah, that's right. He's got all of you unfortunate souls on speed dial.) One day, he hopes to be a Pokémon Professor. But that is a long way off. And when he does, he's raising the minimum age of trainer from ten to eighteen, because who lets their children run off rambunctiously like this, seriously?!
...he might just have to settle for PokéTechnician. But we'll see~~
His current characters are Machi Tobaye/machitobaye (from Ace Attorney) and Claudia Wolf/notmeantforgod (from Silent Hill).
Not just that, but we've also got a bonus Assist TM as well! Myki [chezlehistoire] comes from the land down under, and when she's not challenging wild dingos from the safari zone, she'll be helping us with updating lists. She currently plays Ise Nanao/used_glare (from Bleach).
Give them a round of applause, everyone! And please treat them kindly! They're very excited to be working with you guys, and so are we. The front page has been updated with their contact information.
But that's not all...
Halloween's coming up~
And besides Yun's super awesome Halloween festival, Halloween won't go as innocently as planned...
With people floating around all over Johto in Halloween costumes, those pesky Ghost types decide to have a bit of fun on their own... By possessing people.
They'll possess those in costume and cause the person to take on the traits of the costume they're wearing. If a person is dressed as an angel, they may begin to seem a lot more innocent and sweeter, or overly righteous. If they're dressed as a pokémon, they might try to challenge people to battle. (Get creative!) The possession would happen suddenly and seem nearly impossible to stop.
...unless you destroy the costume. The only way to get the ghost to leave the person alone is to destroy a piece of the costume. Any small piece would work. Like a few feathers from a wing, a tail, a halo, an armor... You get the idea. If there are still people possessed by the stroke of midnight, the ghosts will flee on their own.
If anyone does NOT want their dressed-up character to wind up possessed, feel free to assume that the ghost Pokemon passed them over or just didn't catch sight of 'em. ;)

Holland will probably be a privateer. Except the ghastlies will turn him into a pirate instead because those are cool.
So basically, he'll be talking funny and hunt for booty. And by booty I mean chocolate coins. He'll also probably pick swordfights with people using a plastic weapon. And then he'll probably get drunk and wake up in jail or something.
