▶ ▷ ▶ GYM NEWS Θ SEEING RED! GYM LEADER BLUE PROCLAIMS SUPERIORITY TO THE ELITE FOUR! • Better beware, trainers eyeing the Viridian City gym in the hopes of taking home an Earth Badge! Last week at Gym Leader CLAIR's magnificent event in scenic Tohjo Falls, we overheard Gym Leader BLUE strutting his stuff for any trainer in his proximity! "They should put up a few pictures of me in here!" Leader BLUE announced while in the vicinity of the Elite Four's Trophy Room. "I beat them all once, so maybe I should just toss up a sign that says 'Blue was here, the Elite Four are losers' somewhere!" Could it be Leader BLUE has his sights set once again on...the CHAMPION? Stay tuned to Channel EV News for further updates as this breaking story unfolds! Θ OUTRAGEOUS! POKEMON PROM A ROARING SUCCESS! • Hey, trainers! Were you feeling footloose and fancy free at last week's gala in scenic Tohjo Falls? We here at EV News sure had a blast, and we're calling for a big round of applause for this week's Spotlight Shining Staryu: Gym Leader CLAIR! What a rousing success, and what a privilege to have her as one of our very own Johto Gym Leaders! "Well, of course it was a rousing success," said Leader CLAIR when our ace reporter caught up with her after her triumphant return to Blackthorn City. "Did you expect anything less? All you trainers out there should take this as a lesson in what it's possible to achieve, once you devote yourself to a cause and put in the hard work to make it a reality! ▶ ▷ ▶ CRIME NEWS Θ OFFICER DOWN! TEAM ROCKET STRIKES AGAIN! • All residents of Goldenrod City are advised to be on HIGH ALERT, following two vicious attacks against fine and upstanding members of our own police force! The Kangaskhan Police are currently on the lookout for a particularly malicious member of the notorious Team Rocket who they believe is responsible for a gruesome assault on none other than our beloved Officer Jenny herself! Due to the graphic nature of the crime, we will not be releasing images of the attack. However, our sources indicate that Officer Jenny is currently in stable condition and hopes to be returning to active duty ASAP! Citizens with any information about the incident in question are asked to contact Interim Officer Benny at PKM-NLAW. Your calls will remain strictly confidential! Θ MAULED! OFFICER IN CRITICAL CONDITION! • The Kangaskhan Police are also currently investigating a recent incident involving the heinous mauling of one of Goldenrod's finest! Officer Janey of the Goldenrod City police force was found abandoned within the city limits, covered in blood and suffering from wounds clearly delivered by one or several highly vicious Pokemon! The officer currently remains in critical condition under the care of Nurse Joy and her elite team of Chansey nurses; any further developments will be reported as we receive them, so stand by and keep your eyes on Channel EV News! ▶ ▷ ▶ WEATHER Θ PUT A SPRING IN YOUR STEP! • Your Channel EV Pokemon Weather Station — the first stop to weather the weather whatever the weather! — is officially opening the windows and letting the spring air in! We're predicting temperatures holding steady in the mid-sixties for the next few weeks, with the occasional chilly night interspersed throughout the warmer days! Just don't forget your umbrellas, trainers — you know what they say about April showers! Θ A NOTE FROM MOM! • Wow! Following a rousing success catering Leader CLAIR's fabulous gala last weekend in scenic Tohjo Falls, MOM's back and at 'em with another great recipe to get your sweet tooth going! CLAIR's dragons may not like ice very much, but MOM bets all you trainers out there will sure like her Frozen Fruit Ice Chillers! As temperatures heat up, use one of your Ice-Types (or just the refrigerator) to freeze Berries and other yummy fruits into ice cubes, then use those in place of regular ice to keep your drinks nice and frosty! They'll add a sweet burst of flavor, and they're good for you, too! Or mix it up and freeze strawberries or raspberries inside an ice cube tray full of Lemonade for a delicious frozen treat to snack on whenever the mood strikes!

▶ ▷ ▶ SWARM NEWS Θ HUNTIN' FOR HUNTAIL! • Hey, trainers! While you were at Leader CLAIR's big gala in scenic Tohjo Falls last weekend, did YOU spot any rare and wild Pokemon? Our Pokemon Professors sure did! Here's what Professor OAK had to say about one of the many wild Pokemon he spotted while hiding from the pa— uh, we mean, visiting the retreat! "Did you manage to spot any of the wild HUNTAIL there?" Professor OAK asked eagerly, when approached for comment. "HUNTAIL normally live incredibly deep in the oceans, so it's very unlikely you'll ever have a chance of seeing one! Imagine how fortunate it was when I caught a glimpse of one while on the Elite Four's estate!" Θ AND FOOLIN' WITH FOONGUS! • Professor OAK also reported in very enthusiastically with reports of a whole swarm of wild FOONGUS on the premises of the Elite Four's estate! Wow! We're no professors here at Channel EV News, but even we know what a rare sight a FOONGUS is! We went to Professor OAK for the scoop on this rare and mysterious Pokemon! "A FOONGUS may seem cute, but it's actually a surprisingly devious little Pokemon!" Professor OAK enthused. "It uses its cap, which resembles the red-and-white pattern of a Pokeball, to lure in unsuspecting Pokemon and trainers — and then when they're close enough, it blasts them with poison spores! I sure hope no unsuspecting trainers got caught in THAT trap — it'd sure put a damper on the dancing and fun!"

▶ ▷ ▶ MISC. NEWS Θ THE FUTURE'S SO BRIGHT! OLIVINE LIGHTHOUSE LIGHTS UP AGAIN! • Good news from Gym Leader JASMINE in Olivine City — thanks to the medical efforts of Nurse Joy and the financial support of a lot of caring trainers, AMPHY the AMPHAROS is looking good as new again! Following a harrowing few weeks of keeping vigil over AMPHY, Leader JASMINE had this to say: "I'm just...I'm so incredibly grateful to everyone for all their good wishes and help and support. AMPHY's going to be just fine, and I...I want to personally thank each and every one of the wonderful people who offered their time and their talents to help her. I-I don't know what to say, I'm just so thankful! And, um...I also want to say a really special thank-you to LT. SURGE, in Vermilion City. He really is the expert in Electric types! And he knew just what to do, so...um, LT. SURGE...w-when you see this, I hope you know that...well, thank you. Thank you so much!" Θ POSTMARKED STRAIGHT TO THE HEART! • Wowie! Did your character interact with a Gym Leader at prom? NO, I was hiatused because of computer issues, although I've read a lot and am backtagging players. I didn't want to add to mod work. :>
If yes, which Leader(s) did they interact with? n/a
What did you like about the event? IT WAS SO BIG, and easy for everyone to access!! I liked that the travel plans, which are normally a pain, were basically taken care of for people. IT WAS SO NICE.
What could we do better in the future? Make more events like that (I really liked what I saw and was able to do) aaaaaand also split it up more like Katar suggested.
Anything else? Also wanna do it again. :>
