WOO IT’S THAT TIME OF THE MONTH AGAIN!
No, I don’t mean that time, I mean... ~*~PSYCHIC ENERGY TIME~*~!
That's right, you heard me. Team Rocket is at it again and this time they're fudging around in the Ruins of Alph, wanting to "inspect", for lack of a nicer word, the mysterious Pokemon that live there. Never seen, never heard, that being-watched feeling is the only indicator that they're there. It has bothered some of the undercover grunts that work as lab assistants for quite some time now, and the top brass are finally interested in learning more about these "symbol" Pokemon and seeing if they can be used.
With the research on the ruins, they've found that gathering one of every "letter" can result in massive creative energies that can literally create something out of nothing, so long as the Pokemon continue to run in sync. Totally useful for world domination, like making hundreds of one powerful Pokemon out of pure energy and taking over stations, towns, crushing Gyms... stealing Pokemon to sell on the black market would be quite a snap!
So with a few leaders and a handful of Grunts, Team Rocket plunges into the depths of the now-cleared-of-tourists-and-other-scientists Ruins (thanks to a lovely sandstorm, courtesy of a previously issued Larvitar), armed with Rocket issued Zubats that sit at a comfortable level of 20 and sound blocking headphones. Setting all of the Zubat to use supersonic and screech, letting the horrible noise echo into the ruins, well... Let's just say it wasn't the best plan. (This happens to be Protons pet project.)
While stirring up the Pokemon and drawing them out for capture, several of them began to swirl into sync and create crystals to force Team Rocket out. Sure, fine, have it your way Unown, but Team Rocket still will manage to capture one of every letter, along with ! and ? shapes.
Either way, once they’re done? What is this 'calming the Pokemon down' business you are talking about? Team Rocket has what it came for, so they're all going to be helicoptered out of the problem and then re-scattered later to do their business elsewhere while the top brass deal with the letters.
THIS IS WHERE YOU, THE TRAINERS, COME IN!
Starting on August 18th, the chaos Team Rocket left behind will begin to affect more than just the Ruins of Alph. The Unown can't stop on their own after being worked into such a frenzy and are still making protective crystals! The entirety of the Ruins are now covered in the rock hard coating, and it's beginning to spread all over – towards Violet City, leaking into the Ilex Forest, halfway to Union Cave, and even beginning to cause problems north in Ecruteak City!
What can you do to help? The Unown need to be tired out, so this calls for some long term battling to occur! Trainers from all around will be called on to help the Police forces get into the crowd and begin knocking the strange Pokemon out. Pokemon Centers will be open 24 hours to help out the Pokemon that are exhausted, and Marts will be offering half off discounts on potions and other healing items to help out as well.
Since there are so many Unown, it will take roughly four days to get through and calm down all of them, and shortly after noon on the 21st, all of the Unown will have tuckered themselves out between the use of psychic energy for battling and creating the protective crystals. All of them will then return to the Ruins of Alph and disappear in the underground chambers once again, and the leftover psychic energy will leave each trainer who participated with a little gift.
Did somebody order an evolution stone? Every player who had a trainer participate gets one of their choice for the conclusion of this event.
