Spring Cleaning: A Big Mess.

Did you think the plot was winding down?

No, no--the plot was winding up.

Here are, in order, the results of the device-search. In the case of places where more than one person got the correct number, we flipped a coin to determine the 'winner', so to speak. As much as wading waist-deep in trash can be termed winning.

Goldenrod: correct numbers 8 and 9; found by Xion ([personal profile] ordalias)
Violet: correct numbers 13 and 6; found by Kariya ([personal profile] wormed)
Olivine: correct numbers 10 and 13; not found
Ecruteak: correct numbers 20 and 5; found by Wally West ([personal profile] chemistryinmotion)
Saffron: correct numbers 9 and 3; not found
Celadon: correct numbers 5 and 1; not found

As we said, taking out 5 out of 6 devices would trigger one possible ending, while failing to do so would trigger another. At 3/6, this means...

SPRING CLEANING: BAD END START
(It's okay, it's an interesting bad end, promise. No one will die.)

The weather turns sour.
In Goldenrod, Violet and Ecruteak, about 90% of the transformed garbage will go back to its normal, non-alive state, and the remaining Trubbish, Grimer and the like will be significantly calmer. With any luck, reparations and cleanup can begin immediately.

On the morning of the 8th, the oppressive heat will drop rapidly and the wind will start picking up. Like, really picking up: a cold wind, too, not some kind of light tickling breeze. The wind heralds and pushes a thick, clammy fog that will settle over most of Western Kanto and Johto.

In the evening, roused by the thickening pollution, Suicune will wake up.

The beast wakes.
Suicune having been the target from the start, of course, all Rocket operatives (including the new people and those in outlying areas!) across both regions will be mobilized to capture it at Route 7 while it comes down southwards from the Mount Silver range towards the two most badly hit cities. All hands on deck, they'll be outfitted with Sleep Powder/Stun Spore bombs, gas masks and steel-mesh nets, not to mention a whole slew of Ultra Balls and their pokemon.

It won't go down without a hell of a fight, but they will succeed.

...and rouses its siblings.
Following the capture of Suicune, it will be taken back to the Celadon base and all Rocket members will get downtime to clean up and relax. Members in outlying areas (Diglett's cave and Mahogany) unfortunately will have to stay put a bit longer, still manning the interception signals.

On the 9th, Suicune's psychic screams for help will in turn awaken the other two members of the trio, Raikou and Entei. Naturally, celestial diarrhea will follow, will massive rainshowers, roaring thunder and of course, lightning bolts like it's going out of style. That cloying heat will come back, because Johto can't ever have nice things, and on the 10th the lightning will short-circuit both Radio Towers and the Power Plant, plunging both regions into darkness. Flooding will be occuring in Goldenrod, Cianwood, Olivine, Cherrygrove, New Bark Town, Union Cave, Vermillion, Cerulean, and Cinnabar. To compound this, Cinnabar's long-dormant volcano will rumble and spit, and the occasional tremor can be felt.

(On the plus side, the garbage won't be alive anymore! And the Gears will still be usable and Pokemon Centers will still be running on backup generators. The Rocket bases, running on their own power, won't feel a thing, for anyone needing some R&R.)

Raikou and Entei will be tearing through Johto and Kanto for three days, up until the release of Suicune. (Yes, we said release.) Look out--if you're lucky you might get a visit from the [personal profile] legendarybeasts!

On the 12th, with Suicune free, the weather will clear, the beasts will disappear (leaving fresh air and clean rivers in their wake), and the power will return, signalling the end of the Spring Cleaning plot.

There will be a log set up for the events at Route 7, and you can check out the updated calendar for a timeline. Let us know here if you have any questions!

NOTE: from the 9th to the 12th, due to power outages, rescue efforts and the horrible weather, all gyms will be closed. Normal operation will resume once the beasts are gone and the weather clears.

YES! WHEEL THE RAFT INTO POSITION AND PREPARE TO FIRE!

And then no one ever wondered again why no one takes Cobra Commander seriously.

What are we firing, though...? Hughes would totally offer to help out if we're firing Cobra at the Suicune...

That should totally be TR's battle strategy.

I dunno. Trash. There's plenty of it around.
