July Plot - Results and More Info Inside!
And we have come to a decision! Surprisingly enough, we received exactly 40 41 volunteers (since a ninja windwaker popped up while I was writing this)! Since it's only one person over, I decided to just go for it, so everyone who offered was picked! We randomly selected of all the volunteers who would be part of Sprout Tower, and then used the rankings to place the characters depending on difficulty level.

On Tuesday at 2 in the afternoon, eastern time, each character on the list will feel a rushing sensation. Their vision will black out, and they will feel as though they're spinning or flying or being launched somewhere. Then their feet will plant on the ground, a sudden motion, and the new location will be before them. For anyone traveling with them, your friend has literally just vanished before your eyes. (Talk about panic!)
For the twenty of you scattered in the different cities, have fun exploring your new location! The Officer Jenny of each town has had the Kangaskhan police block off every exit of the city between 8 AM and 8 PM, to prevent stray travelers from ending up getting lost or injured in the horrible rain. It's still raining, but the other locations have not been hit as hard (so they're all around ankle deep, but nothing too massive). Unfortunately, wind is crazy. Boats on piers are not traveling (so you guys at Cianwood are stuck there for a while). Feel free to sneak out at nights, but your best bets are to stay at the local inns or pokecenters until further notice (aka the weekend).
For those in Sprout Tower, chaos awaits. ♪ ♫
We'll make an open log for the plot so you can all go spaz on it.
You may land on the first, second, or third floor of Sprout Tower (choice is up to you!). The doors and windows are locked, even extra sealed to keep much of the rain out, and the monks inside are not only confused and disoriented, but they refuse to let you out. In other words? You're stuck with 'em. Annoying yet quiet little NPC monks who will roam around and avoid you or walk around praying and doing daily rituals. The same thing, over and over. Your best bet is to just not deal with them except for food.
Sprout Tower is like a maze inside, dark and dreary with scary noises and troublesome pokémon. There are exactly fifty Gastlys and two Haunters. The Gastlys will be easily spotted, playing goofy ghost pranks all of Tuesday and Wednesday, like pulling your hair or pushing you, or teleporting you around the floors of the Tower. When challenged to a battle, they'll fight for a few moments, but flee before conclusion, making them practically impossible to catch. They like to sneak up on people, typical ghost style, with a flashy "OOOO~~" at the end, or just appear to lick you or your pokémon's face.
And possession. For up to five minutes at a time, they'll possess one person and have them do goofy or bizarre things, like have them walk around the tower, do a stupid dance, or just move their body around or levitate and drop them upon waking. The person possessed will not be able to think or control their own minds when this happens, only before/after being possessed.
TL;DR? GHOSTS. THEY'RE MEAN, YO.
There are a few perks of Sprout Tower though. There's a kitchen on the first floor, fully stocked, and the Monks cook for their guests daily. Three square meals as long as you are there ten minutes before meal begins. In addition, the monks keep supplies in the attic for stray trainers; a gastly early in the week came by and knocked into one of them carrying a box up, which knocked supplies through the creaky floorboards or cracks and scattered them around the tower. Those in Sprout Tower can find up to five (5) pokeballs, five (5) potions, two (2) paralyze heals, and two (2) antidotes each (meaning the tower is hiding 100 pokeballs, 40 antidotes, etc). Please note that these items will be hard to find and in places even harder to reach! Like on high shelves or behind furniture or hidden in cracks between the walls. If you want all of these, you'd better have your eyes peeled!
Also. Indoor showers/tubs on the first floor in the monk quarters, as well as toilets in the back! The monks lock and use the showers in rotation, from 5:00 to 5:30, 5:45 to 6:15, and 6:30 to 7:00 PM. Any other time and they are free to the guests! So feel free to wash your clothing and keep yourselves nice and clean while you're here! (Except the Gastly probably can and will find and humiliate you... You have been warned.)
For the rest of the people in the early parts of Johto, the rain will finally lighten Tuesday evening and come to a complete stop on Wednesday! However, it will take until Thursday night for the rain to drain out of the routes enough to make them safe to travel. By Friday, the paths will be muddy and damp but passable once again. And because it's important enough to go here, UNION CAVE WILL NOT BE DRAMATICALLY FLOODED! (Just an ickle bit, like the water's crazy and the floor's wet but you can still slosh around with no ease.) So if you're around there and need a safe place, go for it. It'll only rush at the entrance, but the water drains into the little lake thingy next to the cave opening so the rest of the place is nice and dry-ish.
That should do it for now. If you have any more questions or random comments, feel free to ask below! We'll get to 'em as soon as we can. Okami and I both have work tomorrow so we'll get to everything in the evening!
