NEW BARK TOWN
DAY 27/11. 23:50.

"I swear, if it happens again..." Elm sighed into the phone, leaning back in his seat. Ever since the odd incident four and a half years ago, they been struggling with this odd influx of visitors and damage resetting. He still can't figure it out, and the fact that it's gone on for years perplexes him.

Sycamore, on the other end, offered a sympathetic smile and a small shrug. "Well, just keep an eye out on it. While we haven't experienced anything that extreme here in Kalos, I wouldn't be surprised if--"

"Professor Elm!" his assistant behind him hurried over, hands full of papers of seismic readings. "There's a high energy surge coming from all across Johto and Kanto! I think--"

"It's going to happen again," Sycamore finished, expression thoughtful. "How... strange. And this has been going on for how many years?"

"Four, almost five, now," Elm answered. He slid from his chair, accepting the papers from the assistant to look into them. "The patterns are different each time... But it seems almost... stranger. The past few times, we were able to trace it to one source, then eight--when I can only presume came from the crystals this May--but now it's coming from everywhere. There's no pattern."

Sycamore crossed his arms. "Well... let's all just keep an eye on it. Surely, we'll figure something ou--"

And a light engulfed the entire building, flooding their view. Static overwhelmed Sycamore as he pulled the receiver from his ear, whereas Elm's entire building was met with darkness, and the sound of impending chaos.
