That's right, Falkner's on the Network under a general account, frowning quite heavily. He looks... grumpy, actually. Very, very grumpy.]

The Violet City Gym will be unfortunately out of commission for a few days, as there's been a theft. I'm... [He takes a deep breath and sighs.] I'm missing a Pidgeot, a Xatu, a Dodrio, a Swellow, a Pelipper, and a Staraptor. All level one hundred, so to the unfortunate individuals who thought it was a good idea to take them from me, they're not going to listen to you. Please return them and I will avoid pressing charges against you. Earn your pokémon like every other trainer here - Pokémon, especially bird types, have a strong sense of duty; they're not going to obey your whims.

If you have any information regarding the thief or thieves, please contact me personally, any Officer Jenny, or any other gym leader. Any help would be appreciated - all help leading to the recovery of any of these six pokémon will be rewarded.

Until these six have been returned to their rightful home, the gym will be out of commission. I apologize for the inconvenience, and for having to delay so many of you on your adventure. I'm quite certain we will be back to normal soon.

The only thing I can think of is that Team Rocket's involved somehow, but I'm sure you've already jumped to that conclusion. Still, there has to be some way to help...

I wouldn't say this is the first time anyone has attempted to steal my Father's precious bird pokémon, but it is the first time the elite team was successfully stolen.

I wouldn't be surprised if they were, but... I'm not sure where to look first. They're an elusive group of renegades who need to be disbanded and brought to justice again.

Well, I doubt they've made it as far as Kanto. Still, I can always scope out the area on the off chance they did hitch a ride on the train.

Otherwise, it shouldn't be too hard to scope out Johto. Got enough fliers to get the job done.

[After all, losing such important companions is insane. It'd be like losing Flare or Ace; something he can't even begin to imagine.]

Unless they flew, I think the majority of our investigation will remain in Johto. But if you do see them in Kanto, would you please let me know?

There weren't any clues, but we can only suspect that they either broke into a lock or coerced one of my juniors and threatened him to keep silent.

[There's a soft sigh, but then he just shakes his head.] I'm fine. I would just like nothing more than to get my father's bird pokémon back. I don't even wish for punishment on the thieves, just a safe return.

If I run into the thieves, which I don't think is likely given I'm all the way out past Ecruteak, do I need to try to convince your birds I'm a friend? Or would getting them out of their Pokeballs be enough to get them to go back to you?

I suppose in this situation worried is as close to fine as you would get. I'm sorry I probably can't do much...

Well, Pidgeot's tail feathers are around two centimeters longer than the average Pidgeot, and Pelipper flies with a bit of a peppy wave in his wings, but other than that, they don't. Their pokéballs are all simple too, but they are from Kurt.

Do you have any leads on who took them? Whoever it is could be long gone by now, or they could have split them up and sent them to different people. They've also probably covered their tracks by now.

I wish I did... It just happened so suddenly. They had been there barely a few hours before, and then... they were missing. If they're split up...

I wouldn't be that sure of that. They could be anywhere by now. Could have been sold to the highest bidder or turned into a lab for experiments. None of us have any way of knowing without any leads as to who took them in the first place. There's not much we can do to help you with things the way they are.

I saw them last night when I was setting them in their chamber before I locked up the gym. This morning, I came in only to find them missing. Our search throughout the day didn't bring any leads.

And how many people would normally have access to the Gym during their night? Are all of their keys accounted for?

There are only three keys to the gym - my father has one, I've got one, and the third is in a safe location. All of them are accounted for.

Which means the culprit would have to know the layout well enough to know where they could safely sneak in. Is the location of that chamber within the building common knowledge?

Oh that just sucks. I'll keep an eye out for them. Since I saw you recently, I can remember how they looked and Seppucrow will know them on sight. Who the hell is nuts enough to go taking the pokemon of a gym leader. That's just crap.
