Radio Tower Take-Over info!

ATTENTION, ROCKETS.

We see that you have all integrated safely into the Tower's employ without detection. Good work. Continue and you shall all be rewarded when we succeed.

The time has come at last to launch phase 2 of our plan into action. Contained in this message are orders for all of you. New recruits will be arriving to Goldenrod City in a few hours to support you all in your tasks. Pay close attention, as any straying from your orders will result in severe punishment.



GRUNTS MARONA AND RITSU
Being in the janitorial position, you are in possession of keys to almost everything apart from the most high-security areas. As such, await the arrival of outside parties of Grunts in the basement next to both back entrances. You are in charge of letting them in.
If your fellow janitorial staff ask too many questions or try to prevent you from doing this/alert anyone, silence them.

GRUNTS NIOU AND FUJI
On the ground floor, your task is to keep things under control. We will be allowing many Grunts entrance incognito-- however, just in case, to avoid arousing suspicion, GRUNT NIOU must ensure that his fellow reception desk workers do not ask too many questions about the groups being allowed entrance.
GRUNT FUJI, it is YOUR task to distract the tourists as much as possible until the attack is well underway.

GRUNTS SPADES SLICK and PRIME (Tarantulas)
You have been tasked with eliminating two major obstacles standing in the way of our operation. Two Grunts (SANTA and KEN ICHIJOUJI) will be dispatched under your leadership to help you achieve these tasks.
1. The security doors and surveillance cameras. In order to ensure our complete take-over, all doors must be unlocked to eliminate all that stands in our way. To do this, one requires secure passwords known only to the tech maitenence employees. Enter the maitenence office and 'encourage' any on duty to aid us in our noble cause. Use force if necessary. Take whichever of the Grunts is more suited to intimidation to help you.
2. Disabling the radio communications to prevent any workers from calling for help using their PokeGears. Whichever of you is more science-minded should take on this task, as it will take time (which is of the essence!).
This task must be accomplished directly after you enter the building.

GRUNT RACHEL
As you are working in the call center, it is your task to, until the transmitter and phonelines are disabled, tie up as many lines as possible without arousing suspicion, so as both to keep the other workers occupied and to prevent any snitches from potentially phoning out of the building for help. There will be other Grunts aiding you in this task by phoning in from their own personal 'Gears.
Remember that anything they might say could wind up on air, so take care not to allow any sort of hint of what is coming to be given. Try to get as many of their calls put on air as possible and encourage them to stall and take up time until the phonelines are cut.

GRUNTS JULIE, FLONNE, YUKIMURA, DEUCE, FAY, AND KARIYA
While waiting to be let in, you are to call in to any of the available radio stations and speak on the shows for as long as possible. This is to tie up the lines and keep the Tower's staff unaware of our presence for as long as possible. Talk for as long as you can. Any attempt (even accidental) to warn anyone of the oncoming takeover will be swiftly and brutally punished. You have been warned.
As soon as the phonelines and radio transmitter are disconnected, you are to immediately aid your superiors in the take-over, including suppressing any attempts at escape or resistance made on the parts of Tower staff or tourists. Use force where necessary.

GRUNT DIAMONDS DROOG
We understand you are good at 'convincing' people to do things they might not otherwise do. For this reason, once the Tower's security is breached, you are ordered to proceed to the finances department and 'convince' whoever is working there to allow you access to all of the Radio Tower's funds. Use force if necessary.

GRUNT EASEL
When the phonelines and PokeGears are downed, we will not be able to prevent our presence from being known any longer. Chances are that your fellow security guards will try to attack our forces. Do whatever you can to incapacitate them. If this means deceiving them and seemingly switching sides at the last minute, do that. Team Rocket prides itself on its cunning and malevolent sense of dramatic timing.

PRIVATES COBRA COMMANDER and KNEESOCKS DAEMON:
You have been charged with a task of utmost importance. In addition to leading the attack on the Radio Tower, it falls to you to capture the Director. His office is located on the very top floor. Without his capture, our entire mission will be useless (and you will be held responsible for its failure). In addition, he must not be killed or injured too grievously.
The floor of his office is locked by keycard and guarded by trained personnel. Other Grunts will be assigned to eliminating the security issue, but it shall fall to you to make sure the guards are out of commission. To aid in this, grunts GRELL SUTCLIFFE (your assistant) and DAHLIA HAWTHORNE (who, it has come to our attention, is good with poisons and status ailments) have been assigned to help you dispose of the guards. Sleep Powder is preferable to poison, as it will draw less suspicion.

IMPORTANT: When you have captured the Director, contact us IMMEDIATELY for further instruction.






The takeover will occur the night of the sixteeth and must be executed perfectly. You know what you must do.

LONG LIVE TEAM ROCKET!






ooc: The Takeover will occur in a large log post in which you'll be able to create your own threads according to whatever your characters need to be doing/who they'll be interacting with! By all means, take the time to brainstorm possible scenarios for your scenes to take with the other people you'll be playing with! This is a big event involving lots of people, so the more communication going on between you all, the better!

HERE ARE SOME FACTS YOU NEED TO KNOW:

*Fairly large numbers of incognito NPC Rocket grunts will also be present to aid in the takeover-- use them as you will!

*The on-air stalling conversations WILL be hearable to ANYONE IN JOHTO LISTENING, so have fun and feel free to get wacky-- though there will be an incognito Rocket Grunt standing by to disconnect the calls in the event of any mention of the upcoming take-over even if Rachel doesn't!

*When the phonelines are cut and the radio transmitters are disabled, none of the 'Gears in the Tower will be functioning-- leaving those inside without any way of calling for help. However, PRIOR to that, calls may be made-- which is of course why most of the Rocket Grunts have been informed to stay quiet and incognito until then!
In addition, all radio programs that anyone outside of the Tower might have been listening to will be cut off abruptly at this time. Aww, bummer.

*In addition to Tower Workers and Rocket Grunts, other people present can include people visiting the Tower on a tour. Several have already volunteered their characters for this and preferably the number should be kept small in the interest of realism.

*This event will END with the capture of the Director, at which point he will be taken hostage. Further info will be given on what happens after that point!

We don't want anyone's experience ruined by inactivity on the part of anybody else!

So Marona is going to try to be veeeeeery sneaky and help out exactly one person. Her plan is to battle anyone who tries to get in to save folks, and the first one who really give her Pokémon a thrashing will get a Revive that she so totally fumbled and dropped as she rushed to heal her poor beaten Pokémon. She's pretty good at maintaining that cold, "idgaf" demeanor, so... would that slide?

Out of curiosity, would it be alright for Fuji to release a name list of all the 'hostages/tourists' in the radiotower during the take-over? Filtered from the rockets. Or would that be too much of a transgression for him to stay on the team?

His reasoning is that it will up the value of the hostages if people who want to rescue them know that they're inside, but, you know. o/;;;; It's totally fine if he can't, though, but it'll help people outside know what's going on inside.

Late important question is very, very late and I apologize, but seeing that Ken and Tarantulus are in charge of shutting down the pokegears, is it possible for Ken to 'accidentally' post to the network before doing so? Like... a post that coincides with the log?

He's going to be uncooperative anyway and do anything he can to not deactivate the gears. So maybe is it possible that instead of shutting down the network, he amplifies it very briefly? I know this is a risky idea.
