I like the first one best as well. Sure this is a jamjar game but considering many people already forgot the language barrior or ignored it... well, it may be hard to suddenly go back. Not to mention someone said the NPCs can suddenly speak their languages and the fact that this is pokemon, a somewhat silly show/game...

Yeah, I think just erasing that barrier would be easier and best.
