Happy Holidays!
It's a festive time of year!
Even in the smallest of towns, there's holiday cheer around in spades, from Johto natives and otherworlders alike!
With the blizzard finally over (having left copious amounts of snow in its wake), it's finally safe, even pleasant, for people to go outside once more!
However, the ability to step out the front door without getting stuck up to their waists in snow is not the only thing that's coming into Johto after the big storm.
-*-A video transmission from Professor Elm will hit everyone's networks early Wednesday (the 22nd) morning, consisting of the bespectacled scientist rushing along through waist-deep snow with an expression of ecstatic glee as he (out of breath as he does so) excitedly explains to the camera that a large number of young Snover have begun migrating down from the north, attracted by the blizzard.
In an interest of keeping their population to a manageable level during this holiday season (and also in another attempt to extend an embracing hand to all these crazy guys from other dimension), the Officer Jennies are overseeing a city-by-city Snover-decorating fair. There will be no sign-ups or prizes-- simply an invitation for any and all participants to capture their very own Snover and decorate it festively. A small ceremony will be held on Christmas Eve during which the participants may gather with their dressed-up Snover and enjoy some hot apple cider, courtesy of several generous restaurants from city to city.
Creativity is encouraged!
However, there will be Officer Jennies presiding over the ceremonies to ensure that no decorative practices are cruel to Snover involved.
And yes, decorating your Snover with themes such as "the funkadelic 60's" will be considered cruelty by the good officers.
-*-MISTLETOE. MISTLETOE EVERYWHERE. In other exciting news, with the departure of the storm, it looks like a large shipment of mistletoe has finally been able to be sailed in to port in Olivine! It's being shipped all over Johto and put up in lobbies and public buildings all over the place. Well, except in the Pokemon Centers-- Nurse Joys drew the line at encouraging a bunch of people with colds to start smooching. The prevalence of mistletoe all over the place might be a bit annoying for those who aren't interested in getting caught under it, but it shouldn't be TOO hard to avoid, right?
BUT, there's a somewhat unplanned twist.
At some point during shipping, somebody's Jumpluff collection got loose in the same general area. The result is... well, it turns out, just about all the mistletoe has been infused with Sweet Scent.
What does this mean?
Well, it might be a little difficult to avoid altogether if your Pokemon are constantly dragging you towards it or escaping from their Pokeballs in order to sniff it out. Just sayin'.
Shenanigans may be ensuing, and grinches who are determined to avoid mistletoe mishaps may be needing to get creative.
And that's about it for this holiday season, folks.
On Christmas Eve, in the wee hours of the morning, nothing will be stirring, not even the Rattata.
Or will there?
As the Johto population slumbers, it seems that there will be quite a few hard-working little Delibirds creeping around the nation, tiptoeing around with large sacks slung over their shoulders. What are those sneaky Pokemon doing?
Nobody knows, but on Christmas morning, everyone will awaken to something they might not have expected-- a bright, healthy Pokemon egg*, tied neatly with a bow and nestled in among whatever other gifts they may have received from their friends.

*Mun's choice! The egg may contain a Pokemon from ANY of the first four Generations (excluding Legendaries). Merry Christmas!
