I'm here live from Goldenrod City and sorry to report that last night, the Department Store behind me and a number of other locations throughout the Johto-Kanto area were robbed by a number of unknown assailants. Police are still investigating, but at the time, it appears that the thieves made off with a number of expensive items. As I said, police are still investigating and have asked us not to speculate as to the identity of the...excuse me, one moment. Yes, I'm here. What? You're serious? Okay, then. Newsfans, I'm really sorry to cut things short, but we need to go live to Saffron City where there's been a recent development in this story.

▶ ▷ ▶ TROUBLE ON THE TRACKS? This is Ace Reporter SAM, here at the Saffron Magnet Train Depot and I'll get right to the point, newsfans! We've just received word that persons claiming to be the robbers have threatened to attack the Magnet Train on April 26th. We weren't sure whether or not to make this information public, but Officer Jenny gave us the go ahead after the owners of the train refused to halt operations on that day, citing the amount of traffic between Johto and Kanto. The Kangaskhan Cross-Region Police Department has also asked us to urge our viewers to not use the train on that day unless you absolutely have to, and if you do, to please be on the lookout for any suspicious activity. But at the same time, they would like you to please refrain from confronting anyone and instead contact the police department.
