All your base are belong to us
Did you check out that Rocket Admin post? If you didn't, you should since it's relevant to what's going on here! Plus, it's some insight into how the Rocket Admins make decisions in case you've ever wondered about that.
Anyway, since that's a little vague, here's what's going on! Those Aqua and Magma Grunts from Halloween had bases here, remember? And Team Rocket's finally tracked them down, and doesn't really approve of the idea of other teams setting up shop here, so they're going to send in some Grunts (which means you guys) to go clear them out. That's right! We're having a Rocket plot. A completely optional, opt-in Rocket plot! Because we figured you Rocket players might enjoy having an official chance to put in some work towards a future promotion! So without further delay because you guys probably want to get to the details already, here's the important stuff:
The Details:
-The Admins have discovered a Team Aqua and a Team Magma Base
-One in Cinnabar Island and one in the Whirl Islands
-Player Grunts are being called to bases to get orders, which basically go over this and explain that on February 1st, they'll be dispatched to clean out the bases simultaneously.
The Opposition:
-Each character will face one Grunt.
-Which team they're on depends on which base they're in (Magma are in Cinnabar and Aqua are in the Whirl Islands).
-They'll have standard Grunt teams. Expect Zubats.
-Once they lose, they'll just sit around and grumble.
-If they win their battle? They'll be using an Escape Rope to flee and warn their bosses, so they won't be sticking around for future battles.
How to Win:
-This one's pretty simple, you just need to beat six Grunts in each base.
-Your options are pretty open here. You can win via Pokemon battle, attacking them, some sort of convoluted trap, it's up to you within reason!
-And that's basically it!
-Seriously, you can go on to the next section.
What if That Doesn't Happen?:
-We, the mods, are pretty sure you guys can do this, but if you can't...
-First of all the Admins are going to be really disappointed in you guys. And nobody wants that.
-Oh and they'll probably make you guys spend a week redoing your Rocket training and cleaning up the bases you just raided.
-So don't fail!
Win or Lose:
-Some stuff's going to happen, regardless of the outcome!
-Team Aqua and Magma will abandon these bases.
-Team Rocket will establish outposts in the old bases for all sorts of things! Keep an eye out for an updated location page in
rocket_hq in the relatively near future for more info!
So with all that out of the way, here's what we need from you! Just fill out the form by 11:59 PM EST on January 30th!
After you've done that, please go check out our Plotting Post in
rocket_hq if you're interested in plotting out teamups or anything like that with your fellow Rocket players!
Also, if you guys have any questions feel free to ask them here!

QUESTIONS
ANSWERED QUESTIONS
Nope! Feel free to sign up if you like or to ignore it if you want! This is an opportunity to score points towards future promotions, so if you're not interested in that, that's completely fine!
I didn't go and we lost, do I have to repeat training and help clean?
Nope. Only characters who go are in danger of facing the consequences for failure, but the reverse is true too. If the admins decide to reward you guys for your hard work, only the characters who went would be eligible for whatever that could be.
I'm a Private/Beta/Alpha/etc., can I go too?
Sure! While your Rocket bosses are expecting the Grunts to do most of the work, they don't have a problem with higher ranking characters participating!
But please remember that while you have the IC authority to command Grunts, you need to work things out an OOC front first.
What happens if we only clear out one base?
Congratulations people in the cleared out base! You don't get punished! Sorry, people in the other one. You've got a week of retraining and cleaning to do. Also the admins are probably going to lineface at you all.
What do the bases look like?
Whirl Islands
Cinnabar Island
Aren't those just the bases from RSE?
Yeah, you guys didn't think Archie and Maxie were going to take the time to put their nonsense on hold to commission entirely new base designs, did you?
Can I loot the bases?
Sure! You're Rockets after all, so theft and looting is in the job description. When the log goes up, there should be some information on what's available to um...acquire.
Where have the Admins been?
Spending way too much time, money, and effort on a two year odyssey of searching the underwater areas of Hoenn because they heard a rumor Giovanni was in an undersea cave. It didn't pan out, but the admins managed to acquire a whole bunch of Relicanths for unknown reasons.
It seemed like a good idea at the time.no subject

Team Preference: Aqua
Pokemon Team: Absol (57), Unfezant (55), Pachirisu (51), Drapion (49), Kadabra (43), Vulpix (38)
Enemy Lineup: I'd like to know beforehand, please!
Random or Equal Levels: Relatively equal levels would be good.
Win or Lose: I'd like him to win, but a narrow victory is okay if that works better!

Golbat lv. 49
Golbat lv. 41

Team Preference: Magma (not a strong preference)
Pokemon Team: Seviper(52), Seviper (50), Ekans (41), Onix (40), Dragonair (36), Servine (25)
Enemy Lineup:Surprise me!
Random or Equal Levels: Random
Win or Lose: Win. How else will he make it look like he just accidentally sabotaged Cobra's little plot? Besides, he has no issue wiping the floor of another team like Team Rocket.

Team Preference: I believe Aqua, but either way I'd like to have her kept with Eliot (
Pokemon Team: Mightyena, Ninetales, Purrloin, Pikachu, Breloom, Aerodactyl (all level 95).
Enemy Lineup: I'm fine with a surprise!
Random or Equal Levels: Randomized is fine; Parker probably won't be outright battling them anyway.
Win or Lose: I am actually fine with either; her strategy going in here is more in line with trying to jump and disarm (or dis-Pokemon, I guess) the other Grunts as opposed to actually battling them, so if they manage to get away before she can do that, it's fine! I have a slight preference toward winning so as not to screw over the rest of the participants, though. :|a

Team Preference: Magma would be a little less awkward.
Pokemon Team: Zebstrika (80), Murkrow (70), Braviary (70), Rapidash (50), Houndoom (37), Sharpedo (47)
Enemy Lineup: Surprise me!
Random or Equal Levels: Randomize me!
Win or Lose: Win, but in a hilarious way.

Team Preference: No real preference! Toss him wherever.
Pokemon Team: Alakazam (level 100), Hypno (level 100), Remoraid (level 95), Haunter (level 95), Misdreavus (level 95), Zoroark (level 95).
Enemy Lineup: I'm fine with a surprise!
Random or Equal Levels: Randomized is fine; he'll be fighting dirty, so there's...that.
Win or Lose: Schuldig's pretty career-oriented, so I'd like to have him win if possible, but I can definitely work with either!

Team Preference: Either, though I'd prefer to keep him with Emmy (
Pokemon Team: Alakazam, Bisharp, Hydreigon, Archaeops, Crobat, Gallade (all level 100)
Enemy Lineup: Surprise me!
Random or Equal Levels: Random
Win or Lose: I'd prefer to let him win, if that's possible!

Team Preference: Either, though preferably wherever Archer isn't!
Pokemon Team: Cryogonal (100), Mamoswine (100), Blastoise (100), Blaziken (100), Abomasnow (100), Avalugg (90)
Enemy Lineup: Surprise me!
Random or Equal Levels: Random
Win or Lose: Win preferably, though if he's going up against Team Magma WE MIGHT HAVE A PROBLEM... I'm fine with him losing though!

Team Preference: Either!
Pokemon Team: Marowak (100), Gyarados (100), Malamar #1 (70), Malamar #2 (70), Doublade (55), Murkrow (55)
Enemy Lineup: Surprise me!
Random or Equal Levels: Random
Win or Lose: I'm perfectly fine with either! Let's face it, if anyone can manage to completely screw themselves over in battle, it's Naki. Also who brings to Malamars to a fight, that's just asking for trouble.

Team Preference: Aqua
Pokemon Team: Rhyperior, Dusknoir, Garchomp, Aggron, Metagross, and Houndoom (All level 100)
Enemy Lineup: Surprise me!
Random or Equal Levels: Randomized (grunts with 100s are probably pretty rare anyway if they even exist)
Win or Lose: It's not so much that I mind her losing, but she's got a very powerful maxed level team and she won't be pulling her punches. I kind of doubt the grunts are gonna bring her down.

Team Preference: Either, preferably with Archer (
Pokemon Team: Stoutland, Scrafty, Lucario, Metagross (all 100) and Heliolisk, Greninja (both 90)
Enemy Lineup: Surprise me!
Random or Equal Levels: Random sounds fun!
Win or Lose: Winning would be preferable!

Team Preference: Opposite to Emmy (
Pokemon Team: Gothitelle, Ninetales, Lopunny, Milotic, Chandelure, Honchkrow (all 100)
Enemy Lineup: Surprise me!
Random or Equal Levels: Random please!
Win or Lose: She'll be going pretty hard, so winning would be preferable!

Team Preference: Wherever Dist (
Pokemon Team: Hydreigon, Lunatone, Gengar, Camerupt, Gigalith, Cryogonal (all 100)
Enemy Lineup: Surprise me!
Random or Equal Levels: Random please!
Win or Lose: He's looking to impress, so winning would be great!
EDIT: Just swapped Kato's Drifblim for his Metal Coat!Cryogonal, since Dist's plot ideas got approved!

Team Preference: Preferably opposite to where Dist (
Pokemon Team: Raichu (lv 100), Ninetails (lv 100), Gardevoir (lv 100), Abra (lv 100), Xatu (lv 80), Noctowl (lv 60)
Enemy Lineup: Surprise me!
Random or Equal Levels: Random!
Win or Lose: I'm fine with either! Nagi's going to go hard, but he's also had something of A Month so he could very easily falter and screw himself over as well if he isn't careful.

Team Preference: Either, would like to be placed with Kato (
Pokemon Team: Roserade (100), Metagross (100), Scizor (100), Golurk (100), Jellicent (100), Floette (70)
Enemy Lineup: Surprise me c:
Random or Equal Levels: Random
Win or Lose: I'm open to either option- he's going to be trying to test out some (hopefully successful) experiments as well so he might be able to take a loss.

Team Preference: Either works!
Pokemon Team: Zangoose (100), Houndoom (90), Doublade (90), Klefki (80), Talonflame (80), Sneasel (50)
Enemy Lineup: Surprise me!
Random or Equal Levels: A similar spread to his current team's levels would be cool!
Win or Lose: Win, he's really looking to do well here.

Team Preference: No preference!
Pokemon Team: Servine (23), Stunky (8), Gothorita (38), Deino (5)
Enemy Lineup: Surprise me!
Random or Equal Levels: Random!
Win or Lose: Lose. His Pokémon suck. Please hand his butt to him.

Team Preference: Aqua, though wherever he goes I would prefer it to be with Parker (
Pokemon Team: Mankey (19), Houndour (10)
Enemy Lineup: Sure, surprise me!
Random or Equal Levels: Randomized is fine, since Eliot's going to try to avoid battling anyone in the usual way anyway.
Win or Lose: Winning would be preferred, but either is fine. Like Parker, Eliot is going to attempt to get through without battling if he can. He'll be taking a more... direct approach. That is to say, his strategy will be getting the jump on the Grunts and knocking them out physically, as opposed to battling them traditionally.

Team Preference: Either, though I'd prefer he be sent wherever Nagi (
Pokemon Team: Gyarados, Misdreavus, Espeon, Gallade, Bronzong and Girafarig, all level 100 ...HOW DID I SCREW THIS UP
Enemy Lineup: Surprise me!
Random or Equal Levels: Randomized is fine, because he's going to be fighting surprisingly dirty this time around.
Win or Lose: I would prefer a win, if you don't mind!

Team Preference: No preference, and there's no one he's specifically avoiding or clinging to, so literally wherever is fine!
Pokemon Team: Mamoswine, Ninetales, Electrode, Weavile, Steelix, Roserade, all level 100
Enemy Lineup: Surprise me!
Random or Equal Levels: Equal levels are fine!
Win or Lose: Winning would be preferable!

Team Preference: No preference, though preferably with Schuldig (
Pokemon Team: Remoraid, Durant, Houndoom, Gastrodon, Garbodor, Yanmega, all level 100
Enemy Lineup: Surprise me!
Random or Equal Levels: Either way, I'm good
Win or Lose: ...okay his pokémon are high-leveled but his battling skills are subpar, so if he ends up getting equalized levels he's going to get his ass handed to him; if he's overleveled he'll be fine. So basically I will leave it to your discretion, though if for whatever godforsaken reason Alfred is the tiebreaker for win/lose anywhere then I will have a slight preference toward winning such as to avoid screwing people over, for what it's worth.
