Just going to answer your breeding question since one of my dudes is pretty experienced with it.
So, you don't need to go to a daycare. All you need is two Pokemon that are the same egg group or one Pokemon with a Ditto. It can breed anywhere from inside your character's closet to outside. I don't believe anyone has actually watched their Pokemon actually go through the process of breeding the eggs because of it being major awkward, so normally, characters just find the eggs lying around their Pokemon or somewhere close. They normally then think that it's from their Pokemon.
I believe the day care in Route is only for dropping off the Pokemon you want to be raised in your time, along with releasing a few there, though you can release Pokemon anywhere. Though, one of my characters does have a breeding centre in Goldenrod for people to either purchase eggs or breed themselves if they don't have Dittos or places to sell their eggs, but it's not mandatory. He just has Ditto problems for that.
