However, being that this is a very dreamlike scenario and things don't always make sense, it's entirely possible that he could have the sense that they were present, or a sort of unconscious feeling that he's using them, if that makes sense! Sort of like how in dreams, you sometimes just know things without actually having any good reason to know them, or accepting things as true and logical when in reality they make no logical sense!
