Sure thing! Just remember, if he's going to double up like that (weapon + magic), he's also going to burn through his battery twice as fast — it'll take some effort to keep his boomerang manifested (I'm assuming his boomerang is a canon weapon here), and then using magic for support/healing on top of it will be an added drain on his finite amount of battery. So be careful!
