JOHTO AND KANTO REGIONS
DAY 24/10. 20:30.
Hello out there, ladies and gentlemen of Johto/Kanto! Please tune in for a special news bulletin, direct from the Kalos region!
~

[This News Feed is brought to you by the wonderful Professor Sycamore! He's hanging out in front of a rather majestic-looking building with a little Helioptile sitting on his shoulder, which is smiling just as pleasantly as the Professor (though it's a smile occasionally obscured by the fact that it's also nibbling on a baguette). He gives a small wave.]
Hello, everyone!
It's me, Professor Sycamore again, from the Kalos region! I hope you've all been having a good day, and I'm terribly sorry for the interruption, but it's pretty important. Just, ah... heard some interesting news about a few new visitors on your side! [Understatement of the century.] It's a little odd to see such a dramatic migratory effect, especially with all species native to here, but...
[His grin widens a little, hands thrust in the air.]
Why not let them roam free! They're as natural to this world as we are, and if that's where their new trails will take them, then by all means. But that just means you'll need the proper tools to continue this journey well. I've heard from Professor Oak that the systems there are running [a little outdated] on some servers that need a bit of upgrading, especially since you all don't even have the new Fairy type upgrade in there, so I've decided to send a few friends out there to help out!
They should be down there in the next few days. Please keep an eye out for them!
[And with another wave, the feed ends.]
[OOC: THIS IS AN IN-CHARACTER BROADCAST FROM PROFESSOR SYCAMORE; AS SUCH, YOUR CHARACTERS ARE WELCOME TO REMARK ON IT AND DISCUSS IT IN-CHARACTER, AS THOUGH IT HAD JUST BEEN BROADCAST ON THEIR TV, POKEGEAR, AND SO ON.]

FURTHER PLOT INFORMATION
With sign-ups now closed, we've tallied up the number of participants for the Gen VI plot and set the Participation Threshold Number! As a reminder, this is the number of participants on the logs that you must meet or beat in order to achieve a "win" on the log, and earn the outcomes and benefits that follow from it!
Later this weekend, we'll be putting up a log-specific, more thorough infopost with things including the IC setting information, list of rewards unlocked by achieving a win on each log, and so on. However, for the time being, here are a few brief reminders about the way that plot participation is going to work:
• "Participation" means at least one comment somewhere on the log. The comment does not have to be a top-level, nor does it have to specifically involve battling anyone. So long as you have made at least one IC comment somewhere on the log, you are considered to have satisfied the "participation" requirement.
• Once you have posted at least one comment that qualifies as "participating" on the log, you will then be required to link it to us using a Participation Check-In Subthread that we will provide and link on the log. The process of checking in will work the same way that signing up for the plot did: you will comment under the thread with your character journal and a link to your participating comment, one comment per character, so that we can have an accurate headcount of how many people have participated and checked-in.
• A character must have both participated and checked in before the stated deadline for that log (which we will display prominently) in order to count toward achieving the win conditions for that log. Late comments and misfires will not be counted.
• To achieve a win on the Intro Challenge Log, two-thirds of participating characters must check in. If a win is achieved on the Intro Challenge Log, only one-half of participating characters must check in on the Boss Battle Log to achieve a win. If a win is not achieved on the Intro Challenge Log, the threshold to win the Boss Battle Log will remain at two-thirds.
Now, then! The moment we've all been waiting for — the Participation Threshold Number:
☆ THE NUMBER TO MEET OR BEAT IS 50 PARTICIPANTS ☆.
We're really excited about all the interest people have shown in this plot, and we hope you're all getting pumped, too! We'll see you later this weekend with a more detailed overview of what to expect from the plot logs!
And remember, if you have any further questions, feel free to ask us on the Mod Questions Thread!
